503 Horton St.
Developer Charles A Dickerson III, of CADS III Management, Inc., plans a three-story new build in the North End on parcels 503, 509, 515 and 521 Horton St., as well as 7414 Beaubien St., with first-floor retail space and 24 rental units. Six will be "micro-units" and 20% of all units will be designated as affordable at 80% area median income. Dickerson sought the establishment of a Neighborhood Enterprise Zone allowing for a tax abatement of $507,000 in 2021. The estimated $3.5 million project was also expected to be partially financed with a Michigan Economic Development Corp. grant.
