Southwest Detroit Immigrant and Refugee Center
329 W. Grand Blvd.
What's happening?
Legal services organization Southwest Detroit Immigrant and Refugee Center is working with 4545 Architecture and Detroit Collaborative Design Center to renovate a gutted home in Southwest. Plans call for using the top two floors as flexible bedrooms for three to four families for medium-length stays through a new Safe Harbor Housing program. The first floor would be used for the Center's small-business incubator program and legal services. In 2021, the Center was seeking to raise $600,000 for the project.
