With an estimated cost of $10 million, Allied Media Projects and Oakland-based Designing Justice + Designing Spaces plan to finish construction on the accessibility-focused LOVE Building in 2022. The building will house space for organizations Allied Media Projects, Detroit Community Tech Project, Detroit Disability Power, Detroit Justice Center, Paradise Natural Foods and Detroit Narrative Agency. Because of nonprofit ownership, the building will maintain a tax-exempt status. The space will also feature work space for over 100 organizations, gallery space and a food hub.
