What's happening?

American Community Developers is building the 120-unit, mixed-income Left Field residential project at the old Tiger Stadium site. The project was awarded $1,207,610 in Low-Income Housing Tax Credits in 2020. It is included in the city's six-year plan to bring 841 new units to Corktown and North Corktown across multiple projects, which is partially supported through a $30 million federal grant awarded in spring 2021. Left Field will include 30 affordable units for tenants making up to 30% area median income, as well as 18 at 30-80% area median income. The $29 million project was last projected to start construction in summer 2021.
