What's happening?

Proposed in 2018 by Ginosko Development Co., Lafayette West is a $133.1 million project now managed by Lafayette Acquisition Partners LLC. Bounded by I-375, Rivard and Antietam, it will span 5.2 acres, including three apartment buildings (total 230 units), three condo buildings (total 88 units), three carports with charging stations, a dog park and pool house. Twenty percent of units will be affordable at 80% area median income. The project underwent Detroit's Tier I Community Benefits process and received $5 million in state brownfield funding. Construction of a 35-unit condo building at 1405 Rivard St. has begun.
