What's happening?
The Ilitch family's Olympia Development owns this downtown property, formerly the site of the Fine Arts Building and the Adams Theatre. The buildings were demolished in 2009; the facade of the Fine Arts Building was preserved and is still standing. In 2017, when Olympia announced its plans for the District Detroit, they issued a request for proposals to redevelop the property with housing and other uses.
