EW Grobbel announced plans for Grobbel's Gourmet Fresh Neighborhood Market along with a Jewish-style deli at 2456 Market St. in 2022. In partnership with Sanford Nelson's FIRM Real Estate, the historic food company plans a two-story space stretching the block, with its grocery entrance on Market Street and the deli accessed from Riopelle. Eastern Market Seafood previously operated at the location and closed in 2020 with the owner's retirement. The market is slated to open in late 2022.
