What's happening?

City Modern is a multi-building project developed by Bedrock and Farmington Hills-based Hunter Pasteur Homes that includes flats, residences and townhomes for rental and sale, all located in the Brush Park area enclosed by Edmund Place, Brush, Alfred and John R Streets. Work began on the $100 million project in 2016, and it is expected to be complete by the end of 2022. The community is made up of four renovated Victorian mansions and 20 new buildings with 400 dwellings to choose from. The first complete building, The Flats, is a Low Income Housing Tax Credit property and is made up of 54 affordable units for seniors. The development will eventually include retail and food and beverage outlets.   Sources: City Modern, Detroit News, Curbed Detroit
